As estate planning professionals, we are often asked by clients what our opinion is on pre-need funeral services planning.  Layton Cottrell, who has been in the mortuary services industry for nearly 40 years, will speak to us about the benefits of planning ahead with a mortuary. Cottrell will discuss how what we do, as estate planning professionals, goes hand-in-hand with the services he has provided for so many years, and how our clients can benefit from being informed about this big-ticket item that too many clients don't want to think about.  Knowlege is power.

Layton Cottrell has been a licensed funeral director for 36 years in 5 states. Cottrell is currently the managing director for Lindquist mortuaries in Davis county. He works at the Layton location, which is the largest mortuary in the state. He have served on the Wyoming state board of embalming and is also over a prearrangement agency for Great Western insurance, serving 20 funeral homes in 5 states. Cottrell has been awarded counsellor of the year 6 times, has served over 5500 families in his career as a funeral director. Cottrell is happily married with 5 children and 7 grandchildren. He loves all sports, especially the RedSox. Cottrell is active in his church and community affairs.  He looks forward and feels privileged to be able to share his insights to such a distinguished group of professionals.
