Mark has over 30 years in the trust and wealth management business.   He began his career with Seattle First National Bank where he was one of two attorneys selected for their prestigious trust management program.  During this program he worked in every department in the trust company and shadowed all management meetings.  This intense training and experience enabled Mark to advance quickly and he became head of his first trust company by the age of 40.  He went on to become President and CEO of Old National Bank, and President and CEO of Merrill Lynch Trust Bank of Michigan.  He came to the Northwestern Mutual Wealth Management Company in 2001 where he was head of investments and business development. He currently trains and works closely with the financial representatives in the field to help them develop their trust business. 

He is married to Janet and they have 3 children and he loves sailing and skiing.   His son Chapman played 4 years Division I college tennis and his son Christian was on the sailing team at the University of Michigan.  He and his daughter Genevieve have illustrated and authored several children’s books.  He loves spending time in the fields with his golden retriever Cregan.

He has a B.S. in Philosophy from the University of Utah and a law degree from Seattle University.
