Please join us on Noon November 4th to hear from Jacob Dowse and Jim Welsh from Philanthropies (the organization formerly known as LDS Philanthropies)!

They will be speaking to us on:  The Value of A Philanthropic Conversation: The “why” behind incorporating a discussion of philanthropy into your client interactions.  The “what” (assets) and the “how” (tools) of giving.  Overview of the resources available to help professional advisors create a vision of philanthropic giving and navigate the what and how of giving with their clients. 

Jacob Dowse is a Gift Planning Specialist for Philanthropies, a department of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.  Jacob graduated from Brigham Young University with a BA degree in History and received his Juris Doctor from the University of Nebraska.  Outside of the office, Jacob loves spending time with his family in the outdoors, fishing, hunting, horseback riding and hiking.

Jim Welsh is a Donor Liaison Manager for Philanthropies. Jim is a former Financial Advisor for Northwestern Mutual (10 years) and joined the Church Philanthropies department in 2014.  Jim's time away from the office is spent with family, and outdoors, he enjoys golf, Pickleball, Basketball, Racquetball, and skiing.
